The Colorado Chautauqua, founded in 1898 in Boulder, Colorado, is a historic site and cultural institution. As one of the few remaining Chautauqua sites in the United States, it hosts a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational activities in its historic buildings, including the Chautauqua Auditorium and Dining Hall. The site is renowned for its events, such as concerts, lectures, and workshops, as well as its scenic hiking trails and dedication to environmental sustainability and historic preservation. Pexl Design provided graphic design services for Chautauqua, creating digital and print marketing materials for events, efforts to increase attendance, and other design needs for the non-profit organization.

Raise the Roof Fundraiser
One of our most rewarding projects with Chautauqua was the creation of various marketing materials, both digital and print, that included pieces for a raffle drawing which raised money to preserve and replace the roof of Chautauqua Auditorium. The raffle was donated by Pedego bicycles and raised over $100K in donations to replace the roof of Chautauqua Auditorium.
Promotional Materials
We assisted in creative direction for various materials for the Raise the Roof fundraiser which included a plethora of digital and print pieces to advertise for the raffle event.
Raffle Ticket
Pexl designed a raffle ticket for the Raise the Roof foundation, evoking a ‘throwback’ feeling that let donors and ticket buyers hold onto their stubs, preserving the integrity and historic vibe of the Chautauqua in the process.
Winter Community House Events
During the winter offseason, when the Chautauqua Auditorium is closed, Chautauqua hosts smaller Community House events, bringing in various artists and activities to keep the community engaged year-round.
